They get really stressed when left in the truck so I usually tie them to my sliders on 6 ft leashes, though I realized this is unsafe if approached by a coyote or similar predator. I thought about carrying a ground tent for them, but it's possible they could rip through it and run off.
Is it safe to let them sleep while tether between tress with something like this? I don't think so. https://www.rei.com/product/205495/ruffwear-knot-a-hitch-campsite-dog-hitching-system?CAWELAID=120217890013972639&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=107685735780&CATCI=pla-448411675436&cm_mmc=PLA_Google%7C21700000001700551_2054950001%7C92700056462394043%7CNB%7C71700000066695702&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIm46A586d-wIVfwWtBh1-TQVtEAQYASABEgJgofD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
I thought about doing an awning room and putting their leashes on the sliders, but I see a lot of snakes where I live.
