Ever just wanna cover everything with carpet to hide things like wires? I do just that in my new video.

I ripped out all the trim in the back of my 2010 Subaru Forester. Back seats too. Left the ceiling alone.

SO MUCH SPACE!

I built a bed and some shelves. Pretty unique setup. I have never seen anyone else do what I have done, at least the way Im doing it. Also have a dual battery/solar setup, fridge etc… Never ending evolving house on wheels. Her names Penny, and Im gonna drive the Pan American Highway in her!

Anyway, I wanted everything to look like it was supposed to be there. So I kinda “sculpted” my own “trim” out of cardboard and duct tape, (yeah its cheap af, but if I mess up I can rip it down and try again. Havent had to do that yet!) then used spray adhesive to put some automotive carpet over it. I used 3m Super 77 spray adhesive. So far so good. This video shows the initial stages. I have already fixed the weird flaps and parts I say idk what to do with! It looks really good now! Stay tuned for updates.

Installing this carpet is easy, I got it on ebay for pretty cheap, just type in “automotive carpet”- theyve got all the flavors you want. It was like 40 bucks I think, for enough to cover the whole back of a Forester. I just cut it with a jiffycutter box cutter razor blade. Use new blades and cut the backside of the carpet. After you do a few cuts its easy. I did LOTS of patchwork so to speak. Still got a long way to go. But I really think it looks good considering I have NO IDEA what Im doing! Haha!

Heres the vid!

Questions or comments? Im just having fun, but am pretty serious about seeing how far I can push this thing and make it as comfortable as possible to live and travel out of for at least 2 years going from one end of the Earth to the other!

Thanks for watching!
